These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the True Velocity application ("the App"), developed and maintained by David Picknell ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the App.

1. Description of the App

True Velocity is a GPS-based speedometer application for iPhone. It displays real-time speed using your device’s built-in GPS, along with optional filtering and responsiveness settings.

Key features include:

• Analogue speed dial
• Large digital speed display
• MPH and KMH unit selection
• Adjustable speed response modes (Smooth, Balanced, Fast)
• Adaptive filtering
• Real-time GPS accuracy display

The App works without requiring an internet connection. Speed calculations are performed locally on your device.

2. Accuracy and Limitations

True Velocity relies on GPS data provided by your device. GPS accuracy may vary depending on signal strength, environmental conditions, satellite visibility, and hardware limitations.

The App is not a certified measuring instrument and should not be relied upon as the sole source of speed information.

You are responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and for using your vehicle’s approved speedometer where required.

3. Safe Use

You are responsible for using the App safely and lawfully. Do not operate or interact with the App in a way that distracts you while driving or operating machinery.

We are not responsible for accidents, injuries, fines, penalties, or damages arising from use of the App.

4. In-App Purchase

True Velocity includes a seven-day trial period. After the trial ends, a one-time purchase is required to continue using the App.

All payments are processed securely by Apple through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. We do not receive or store your payment information.

Purchases are subject to Apple’s terms and conditions.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Not misuse the App in ways that could cause harm
• Maintain the security of your device

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

We are not liable for:

• Inaccurate speed readings
• GPS signal loss or reduced accuracy
• Fines, penalties, or legal consequences
• Accidents, injury, or property damage
• Indirect or consequential damages of any kind

7. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
